Baby Louise
Written: 1974
Writers: David Jenneson, Alan Hovden
Status: Recorded but unpublished
Genre and Style: Pop rock.
Comments: Al: This was one of Kenny Pierce’s favourite songs that I had written. Kenny was a young guitar prodigy and I always felt honoured that Ken appreciated my songwriting as much as I did his guitar playing.
I was killing time on the backstreets
On a blood chilling Saturday night
Flashing at me
A sign read Baby Louse
She’s a she demon delight
Dirty rock ‘n roll music
Brought the hand clapping crowd to their feet
Through the smoke someone cried
Jumping Jesus alive
Give us who we want to see.
Because Baby Louse had the bluest eyes
Warm as the wind in the summer skies
With my heart crying my oh my my my
My Louise
Won’t you please
Kicking into the spotlight
She’s about to drive the world insane
Sliding down on her knees
Like she’s dying to please you
Again and again.
And Baby Louise has the bluest eyes
Warm as the wind in the summer skies
With my heart crying
My oh my my my
My Louise
Won’t you please?
How she excites me
I’m writing a letter
Dear Louise
Now every night she
Makes me feel better
And Baby Louise has the bluest eyes
Warm as the wind in the summer skies
With my heart crying
My oh my my my
My Louise
Won’t you please?
Louise
Please please please
