Metal Man

Status: Recorded but unpublished
Genre and Style: Heavy Metal
Comments: Dave: Metal Man was our attempt to write in a genre we had never before tackled. The result is a song which, unlike most heavy metal, actually has the manners to include good lyrics, a strong melody and a recognizable story line. It is almost like a crossover from heavy metal to commercial pop. It should have been marketed to heavy metal bands of the time but typically, we still lacked the connections to network the song. Today it still retains its potential for a heavy metal band to do well by it as the title cut for a CD.
I’m a metal man
You made me what I am
Left me with wounds that won’t heal
And turned my heart into steel
Now I’m a metal
I’m a metal
I’m a metal man
Made of metal
Look I’m a metal
I’m a metal man
I’m a metal
Are you metal?
I’m a metal man
I’m a metal
I’m made of metal
Look out for the metal man
Down on the street they say
Your memory’s been taken away
But if you hear a scream
It’s the cry of the metal machine
A metal heart never breaks
An iron never shakes
You made me what I am
I’m a metal man
Next time on the street
Don’t under my feet
Because I’ve got boots of steel
Now I’m a metal
I’m a metal
I’m a metal man
Made of metal
Look I’m a metal
I’m a metal man
I’m a metal
Are you metal?
I’m a metal man
I’m a metal
I’m made of metal
Look out for the metal man
